Yes. Contacts can be imported, though the point of doing it here is that the list maintains itself from your sales data afterwards.
Does it handle unsubscribes properly?
Yes. Unsubscribes and bounces are recorded on the contact and honoured on every later send.
Can sales see who opened a mailer?
Yes. Engagement appears on the lead and the customer record, which is what makes the follow-up call worth making.
