Odoo Reports & Dashboards

If this is your review meeting

Two departments, two versions of the same number.

Every report starts with an export

Figures are pulled out, pasted into a workbook and formatted by hand before anyone can look at them.

Sales and accounts disagree

One counts orders, the other counts invoices, and the meeting is spent working out which is right instead of what to do.

The numbers are already old

By the time the pack is circulated it describes last month, and the decision it was meant to inform has already been taken.

One person owns the reporting

When they are on leave, nobody else can produce the figures or change what they show.

What you get

Live numbers instead of monthly exports.

Dashboards on live entries

Sales, cash, stock and outstanding update as work happens. Nobody exports anything to see where things stand.

Click through to the document

Every figure opens the invoice or entry behind it, so a number can be questioned and answered in the same minute.

Reports your team can change

Filter and pivot by product, party, branch or period without waiting for the one person who knows the tool.

One version of each number

Sales, stock and accounts read the same records, so two departments stop bringing different figures to the same meeting.

What you get on day one

Reports that exist before you ask.

Cash and receivables

Bank position, outstanding by party and an ageing bucket you can act on rather than admire.

Sales performance

By product, party, salesperson and period, drawn from confirmed orders and invoices.

Stock valuation

What is on hand, what it is worth and what is slow moving, per godown.

Purchase and committed spend

What has been ordered, what has arrived and what is still to be paid.

  • Start from your decisions

We work back from the numbers you actually check each week, instead of shipping a dashboard nobody opens.

  • Build on live transactions

Reports read entries from the modules you run, so nothing depends on someone uploading a file.

  • Hand over the controls

Your team learns to change filters and build views, so reporting does not become a dependency on us.

Questions

Reports & Dashboards questions we get first.

Do we need a separate reporting tool?

For most businesses, no. Dashboards and pivot views run on your live ERP data. If you already use a BI tool, it can read the same data instead.

Can non-technical staff build a report?

Yes, and that is the intent. Filters and pivot views are covered in training so reporting is not stuck behind one person.

Why do our current reports disagree with each other?

Usually because each department keeps its own sheet. When sales, stock and accounts read the same records, there is nothing left to disagree about.

Can we still export to Excel?

Yes. Every view exports, and figures can be pulled into a spreadsheet that refreshes rather than one that is pasted.
